In the following command: '!!!spoiler goes here! The first 20 episodes followed the manga, but expanded on certain parts in interesting ways that made the story better. The pacing improved and themes from the original work were expanded upon and better integrated into the story. It was a fun and pretty well executed shonen battle anime up to this point. The last 30 episodes were completely anime original and discarded everything that made the series interesting, leaving behind generic, bland shonen tropes. The two lead characters spend most of these arcs literally useless and are reduced to standing around and watching while people far more powerful than they fight things out. The final arc flip flopped between between horribly boring, laughably terrible and outright offensive.
Damn I didn't think I'd be that on the dot when I read Rokuro's voice in the Manga in Bryce's voice. I thought it would be too obvious. Also, nice to see Cassandra Lee playing a tsundere since I think works best with that voice of hers over the other things she's typecast as being cute little things (which explains Taiga and this role even if it's under her usual typecasting of cute little things). Also nice to hear that Kate Higgins is still doing anime aside from the usual role repisal as Sakura Haruno.
